Just touched down in the lovely city of Dallas for two days with eBay folks. I’m going to be holding coffee chats with collectibles* buyers and sellers throughout the event. Check back here for interesting tidbits from our conversations.

Here are some of the comments/suggestions I’ve been hearing in my conversations:
- We could do a better job of helping sellers list in the right category
- Some of the categories need to be updated
- Completed listings history is invaluable in the buying and selling process, and 15 days just isn’t enough
- There needs to be a way to separate or filter for original items and reproduction/reprint items
- The eBay homepage could be more personalized to what you’re interested in
- We could do a better job of making you feel like you’re recognized and appreciated
- Best Match is confusing
- eBay Top-Rated Seller qualifications should be category-specific to take into account the nuances of selling in the collectibles categories
Did you know…
- Buyers make their buying decision in 7-10 seconds on average
- You can display your eBay listings on your own website using ProStores
- People leave feedback on about 40% of transactions
- Facebook, Twitter and Squidoo can be used to promote your listings and drive additional traffic to your items
- You can embed additional pictures and video within your listing using html
